Invitations will shortly be sent out to guests who might like to join us this year at our annual Over 90s Party. Due to be held on Saturday, September 29th, Ilkley and District Good Neighbours charity will once again host the free event for residents who have reached the landmark birthday.
It will be a lovely afternoon, with a Vintage Afternoon Tea, entertainment by pianist Myra Johnson, Ilkley Moor Notes and Steph Atkinson and her Vintage Saxophone. Shirley Britton and Michael Loftus will be singing a medley of popular songs and will bring the event to an end with a community singsong. The afternoon tea will be served by volunteer students from Ilkley Grammar School and the Air Cadets.
Our honoured guests will include Mr David Pearson, Deputy Lieutenant for West Yorkshire representing Her Majesty the Queen, Steve Butler, Chair of Ilkley Town Council, and John Grogan MP.
Transport can be arranged on a first come, first served basis. Partners/Escorts of guests who are less able are welcome to attend the event.
